I was sacked for refusing to abuse Saraki, Ex-Minister Abdullahi reveals

Former Sports Minister, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, yesterday in Ilorin told a gathering of the All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters that he was booted out of office as minister by President Goodluck Jonatahn because he refused to abuse his godfather; Senator Bukola Saraki.

Abdullahi disclosed this at the campaign flag-off ceremony of the second term bid of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed in Ilorin, Kwara State.

He said as a cabinet member, they were all sailing in a sinking boat with President Jonathan as the captain.

Abdullahi was reportedly accused by fellow ministers as a mole in the house, spying for Senator Saraki as soon as the relationship between the latter and the President turned sour. He, however, hanged on until he was booted out.

He urged Kwarans to vote for both Governor Ahmed and Major General Muhammadu Buhari in next month’s elections.

Saraki as leader of APC in the state, with the state’s chairman of the party, Honourable Ishola Fulani, gave flags of the party to all the candidates for next month’s elections, including himself and the Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed.

Senator Saraki told the gathering that only APC led government can salvage Nigeria, pointing out that Nigeria could be better under APC.
