A middle-man identified as David Orji was on Monday afternoon, December 16, crushed to death by an over-speeding car said have been driven by an auto mechanic. The incident occurred along the busy Aba-Owerri Road.
According to an eye witness, the driver of the Toyota Avalon car, Akinola Mustapha, lost control of the vehicle which he was test-driving.
“He veered off the road, knocked down an electric pole, as well as an MTN billboard before crushing David,” the eye witness said.
News Express investigation revealed that Akinola had on several occasions been warned over his love for excessive speed when testing customers’ vehicles.
Meanwhile, the body of the Edda, Ebonyi State-born David Orji has been deposited in the mortuary while Akinola is helping the police in their investigations.
