Breaking: Military moves to abort planned Boko Haram attack on Maiduguri •Restricts movement for 4 days

The Nigerian military has moved swiftly to abort plans by Boko Haram insurgents to attack Maiduguri, capital of Borno State in the country’s troubled North-East region.

Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in a statement issued in Maiduguri that security reports indicate that Boko Haram is making serious efforts to unleash terror on Maiduguri during the Yuletide

He consequently announced the imposition of a four-day restriction of movement in Maiduguri, effective today, assuring the people of the military’s readiness to safeguard them.
