Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has declared that he would continue to accord respect to former governor of old Bendel State, Dr Samuel Ogbemudia, saying Ogbemudia is a leader who is sincerely worried about the future of the state.
He disclosed this yesterday in Benin-City while commissioning a six-lane New Lagos Road and the Ewohimi Hospital in Esan South East of Edo State.
“When I spent nine minutes with Dr Ogbemudia, all I kept hearing from him is advice on how to move Edo State to the next level,” Oshiomhole said.
The governor promised that he would not disappoint the two-time former governor, adding that his administration would continue its developmental strides across the three senatorial districts of the state despite “the mischief of the opposition PDP in the state who never want anything good for our people”.
Oshiomhole further explained that national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was carefully chosen for the commissioning of the projects due to his achievements in Lagos and as a leader of the opposition party in the country.
