The vandalised Tacha billboard
There is a viral video currently on the social media showing how a group of people tore down a paid advertisement bill board of Big Brother Nigeria erected in Owerri, Imo State in support of Tacha.
Many believe that the perpetuators are fans of another housemate, Mercy who is from the eastern “Heartland” while Tacha hails from Rivers State but based in Lagos.
The destruction of the bill board is seen by some industry observers as another kind of xenophobia recently suffered by Nigerians in South Africa.
Fans have taken to the social media to register their displeasure. Read on:
A fan by name Priscilla who claims to be “Tacha’s remaining eye” wrote:
“So they destroyed T’s billboard in owerri! So disgraceful...y’all quick to condemn ppl but you’re worse! It’s not a tribal war! how are u any different from the Xenophobic citizens in SA ? Shame!
When she wins on the 99th day be sure to kill yourselves! Illiterates! #BBNaija”.
And Ashley said:
“Destroying someone’s billboard is your definition of pepper?? How y'all gather yourselves to stan the same person is now understandable cuz stupidity run in your veins #BBNaija.”

“So mercy fans actually hired goons to go and destroy Tacha’s billboard??____i’d suggest we send the numbers In the group chat below to sojar he then can report them.#BBnaija.”
Trumpsonba analysed the situation thus:
“Seyi’s fans attacked Tacha’s fans in Lagos
Mercy’s fans vandalised a paid billboard for Tacha in Owerri
Same Owerri Tacha goes to chill
Same Lagos that Tacha will still live in..
Who raised these people? #bbnaija.”
This was the content of the destroyed billboard tagged PH City First Daughter:
“Live in the capital city of Eastern Heartland, Imo State is a billboard of Queen Tacha, all thanks to Sojarextmt. The rallying call is for all to keep voting the content maker, Queen Tacha.
