
Super Eagles gaffer Stephen Keshi has unveiled his Starting XI for this afternoon’s must-win Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Red Devils of Congo in Pointe-Noire.
In the thick of the battle is fans’ favourite Ike Uche, who is back in the Eagles fold for the first time since Nigeria won the last AFCON in February 2013 in South Africa. Ike Uche, who is Nigeria’s best striker on current form, has been handed a licence to shoot down Congo alongside Emmanuel Emenike and Ahmed Musa.
Nigeria is gunning for vengeance, having been unexpectedly beaten 3-2 by Congo in Calabar in September.
Nigeria are under pressure to win by at least two clear goals this afternoon to stay on course for a place at next year’s AFCON holding in January in Equatorial Guinea. Below is the Super Eagles Staring XI:
