Anambra Police Commissioner John Abang
In the continuation of his tour of police divisions and other formations in the state, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang, has revealed that the essence of the tour is to get him acquainted with first-hand knowledge of areas of responsibility and interface with relevant stakeholders at the grassroots level on issues concerning safety and security.
The formations visited by the CP were, Ogbunike and Oyi Divisions, Nnewi Area Command, Otuocha Area Command, Otuocha, 3-3, and Nzam Divisions respectively.
He listed his strategic plans to ensure adequate safety and security of lives and property to include other strategic plans to include intelligence-led policing, community partnership, inter-agency collaboration and alternative disputes resolution.
His words: “The tour is for me to get acquainted with firsthand knowledge of areas of responsibility and interface with relevant stakeholders at the grassroots level on issues concerning safety and security.
“My top priority is to ensure zero tolerance for corruption and strict adherence to the rule of law in accordance with international best practices.”
The Commissioner listed his strategic plans to include intelligence led policing, community partnership, inter agency collaboration and alternative disputes resolution.
He also paid courtesy visits to the traditional rulers of Nnewi, Igwe Dr K. O. N. Orizu III of Nnewi; the Ezudo I of Aguleri, Umuleri and Igwe Rowland Odegbo, Aborgu 11 of Nteje.
Receiving the CP at their various palaces alongside their cabinet members, the monarchs pledged their support in promoting safety and security in the state.
