Arrangements have been concluded by the executive of the International Students Festival, to announce names of the 450 successful students, drawn from across the world to the festival scheduled for Trondheim, Norway, in February 2015.
With the theme ‘Corruption’, ISFIT will discuss this common global vice that is currently ravaging the economy of many countries, particularly the developing nations, where it becoming institutionalised today.
On the rationale behind the international students’ festival, which was conceived in 1988, president of the association, Marius Jones, said that the initiative was to assemble students from all over the world in order to trade ideas and engage in fruitful discussions on different national burning issues. The president noted that the main idea behind this festival is to make it a meeting place for cogent discussions and intelligent disputations.
Tosin Ayodele, an ambassador of the organisation in Nigeria, when asked of the objective of the organisation, said: “ISFIT, no doubt, is a place where ideas are hatched and priceless lessons garnered. We also wish to use the festival to spur students across the world towards using the lessons learnt for the benefit of their locality and their respective countries. As an organisation, we seek to inculcate burning desire to raise and prepare students for present and future endeavours.”
