Armed robbers dressed in military uniform have snatched serving Senator Kabiru Gaya’s official Prado Jeep in Jaji, near Kaduna, North-West Nigeria.
Sen Gaya’s Special Adviser on Media, Prince Idris Afegbua, said in a statement issued in Kaduna that the Senator was attacked around 7:30 this night along Jaji-Zaria Road on his way to Kano.
He wrote: “The Prado Jeep with Senate plate number FL 16 SEN has been snatched by four armed men dressed in military uniform just between Jaji to Zaria at about 7:30 pm today (Friday), 31 Oct. 2014.
“The case has been reported to the police who have already taken action.”
Neither the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Ambursa, nor the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Aminu Lawal, responded to calls and text messages sent to their phones.
