Nigeria’s most popular blogger, Ms. Linda Ikeji, has been dealt a heavy blow. Minutes ago her very popular blog, lindaikeji.blogspot.com, was erased by Google.

When News Express tried to access the blog, the following message appeared: “Blog has been removed

“Sorry, the blog at lindaikeji.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.”

No reason was given for the removal of the blog, but a web expert, Mr. Afam Nnaji, who spoke with News Express, said it was not an unusual development.

“Having a Google blog is like somebody using Google’s free resources. Google can choose to close it anytime. It is like your Yahoo! e-mail address; Yahoo! Can decide to close it anytime any wipe out all your mails and you cannot do anything,” he said.
