The Nigerian military this evening shrugged off the purported beheading of a pilot in a Boko Haram video currently trending in cyberspace as a common antic of terrorists to show extreme violent acts to demoralise citizens.
In a tweet by the Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, the military declared that the act will not deter troops from comprehensively routing terrorists from their hideouts.
The military assured Nigerian that “no level or amount of barbaric display of bestial atrocities will distract the Nigerian military from sustaining the tempo of ongoing operations to decimate, degrade and bring the remanants of the terrorists already in disarray to due justice.”
Olukolade added that the campaign against terror is still recording the expected result in the front and concluded by urging Nigerians not to despair.
