The 12 members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC) today endorsed General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) as the party’s candidate for the 2015 presidential election.

Minority Leader of the House, Muhammad Ali, while addressing a press conference in the state capital, said General Buhari remains the only candidate that can salvage the nation.

Ali said the opposition APC members in the House resolved to endorse General Buhari because he is an incorruptible leader.

According to him, “Never in the history of this nation have we come close to a failed state as is presently experienced owing to the ineptitude of those charged with the responsibility of leading this great nation.

“We are aware that nations proper when there is respect for the humanity of others, there are certain patronising things you cannot do.

“When General Muhammadu Buhari was the Military Head of State, Nigeria blossomed as a nation and discipline was restored and Nigeria was respected worldwide.

“We are all living witnesses to the fact that General Buhari made difference in his life time in the life of this country within permissible space that was allowed by the agent provocateurs.

“Many are afraid of Buhari because they are beholden to corruption and greed. Many adore Buhari because they believe he has the ability to turn things around.

“Nigeria is in dire need of leaders that will save it from the current state it found itself owing to the failure of the central establishment to do things by book and the blatant abuse of procedure occasioned by endemic corruption, insecurity, persistent strike action by workers and academic staff unions of our academic institutions.”
