The Federal Government yesterday set up a Presidential Committee on the 2014 National Conference Report, charged with studying the report of the recently concluded confab and developing a strategy for the implementation of its recommendations.
A statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation named Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN, Attorney-General of the Federation & Minister of Justice, as Chairman of the committee, with the following six government officials as members: Senator Idris A. Umar, Minister of Transport; Ambassador Bashir Yuguda, Minister of State for Finance; Mr. Osita Chidoka; Minister of Aviation; Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide; Minister of State for
Federal Capital Territory Administration; Architect Mike Onolememen, Minister of Works; and Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The committee, which “is encouraged to take off immediately,” has the following terms of reference: To study the Report of the 2014 National Conference; To articulate the recommendations therein and develop appropriate strategies for its implementation; and to advise Government on all matters necessary for the effective implementation of the Report.
