Casualties mount as troops battle Boko Haram in Bama

Brave Nigerian troops are battling Boko Haram insurgents seeking to over-run Bama in Borno State, North-East Nigeria.

“Everything necessary will be done to contain the Terrorists,” Defence Headquarters (DHQ) tweeted this evening.

Reports said casualties have mounted on the side of the insurgents but DHQ refused to give an idea of the number of Boko Haram fighters so far killed.

It simply tweeted: “#Bama attack is being repelled. We cannot state casualty situation/figures now. Everything necessary will be done to contain the Terrorists.”
