One of the popular markets in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, has been gutted by fire.

The fire is, in fact, still raging at Aleshinloye market.

It started at about 10:15pm and traders in the market are estimated to have already lost goods worth several millions of naira.

There is, however, hope that the fire may soon be conquered as News Express saw men of the Oyo State Fire Service, who raced down to the scene following distress messages, battling to put off the fire.
