Atiku calls CJN suspension act of dictatorship

PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar

Nigeria’s main opposition presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar said on Friday the suspension of the country’s most senior judge by President Muhammadu Buhari was an “act of dictatorship”.

Buhari suspended Walter Onnoghen on Friday and replaced him with an acting chief justice of Nigeria. Buhari and Atiku are the main contenders in the country’s presidential election to be held on Feb. 16. (Reuters)
