Australia hails Nigeria’s peace keeping efforts

Australia has acknowledged Nigeria’s peace keeping efforts in the African region in particular, and the world in general.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff at Defence Headquarters, Abuja, the Australian Defence Attaché to the African union (AU), Col. Wes Volant, praised the country’s track record in this regard.

Col. Volant, who is in Nigeria for the first time, also appreciated Nigeria for patronising Australian Defence College, noting that the two countries are long term allies.

Responding, the CDS, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, assured that the Nigeria Military will continue to partner with the Australian Military in the area of training and capacity building.
