President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated Corps Marshal of the Federation and Chairman of the Federal road Safety Commission (FRSC), Dr. Osita Chidoka, to fill the vacant ministerial slot for the South-East state of Anambra.
Anambra has been without representative in the cabinet since the exit of erstwhile Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah.
Chidoka’s nomination was contained in a letter written to Senate President David Mark by President Jonathan, seeking Senate’s confirmation.
It comes barely 24 hours after Jonathan assigned portfolios to four newly appointed ministers, namely, Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano) – Minister of Education; Stephen Oru (Delta) – Minister of Niger Delta Affairs; Abdul Bulama (Yobe) – Minister of Science and Technology; and Clement Adebayo Adeyeye (Ekiti) – Minister of State for Works.
