Argentina cruise into Brazil 2014 World Cup final, beat Netherlands 4-2 (pens)

Argentina and Germany will square off in the final of the Brazil 2014 World Cup final this Sunday, July 13, at Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro to draw the curtain on the tournament which kicked off on June 12 with 32 teams.

Minutes ago at the Arena de Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, the Argentines claimed victory over the Netherlands following perfect kicks in the shootouts that followed a barren 120 minutes of fireworks.

All four Argentines who first took the kick scored while Vlaar and Sneijder saw their kicks saved by Argentine goalkeeper Romero, thus making the last two kicks unnecessary.

Brazil, who were roasted 7-1 by Germany yesterday at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte, will face the Netherlands in the losers’ match on Saturday.
