A number of suspected Boko Haram insurgents have been reportedly caught in Umunze, Anambra State in Nigeria’s South-East.
“They were caught with BOMBS,” wrote Anambra-based blogger Mazi Odera, who, however, did not immediately provide details.
Boko Haram is usually identified with the northern parts of Nigeria but News Express reports an apparent desperation by the Islamists to penetrate the South-East.
Anambra is the fourth South-East state where Boko Haram suspects have been arrested in the past few weeks – the other states being Abia, Imo and Enugu.
