PRESIDENT Museveni BANS TV STATION AFTER IT SHOWED HIM ASLEEP IN PARLIAMENT

The President of Uganda was left red-faced after he seemed to fall asleep in parliament – and has now BANNED the TV station that showed the images.

Yoweri Museveni had his eyes closed in parliament and NTV Uganda suggested the obvious by saying that he had fallen asleep.

The government has said otherwise, however, claiming the president was “meditating” as they slapped the station with a suspension.

Media centre manager Dennis Katungi said: “The president has habits, he meditates and they know it, and still they go out and say he was sleeping.

“The suspension should not be permanent.

“It’s temporary, to make them think.”

Government spokesman Ofwono Opondo added: “We have suspended their coverage of the president as we reconsider our relationship with them.”
