A Middle-aged man, Umaru Muhammadu Jauro Ori, has been arraigned before a Bauchi State High Court Number Five for killing his biological father inside Mosque in Maltawa Village of Misau Local Government area in the State.
Arraigning the suspect yesterday, the Chief State Counsel, Hussein Ishaq Magaji told the court that the accused went into a Mosque in Maltawa Village and stabbed his father with a cutlass on his head and back, and, as a result, he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Misau General Hospital where he died the following day.
After he was arraigned, the presiding Judge asked him if he understood the charges made against him, he answered in the affirmative, and was asked if guilty or not, he pleaded not guilty.
Justice Usman adjourned the suit to 13th August 2018 for hearing.
