The Management of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has donated N50million to the victims of rainstorm and fire incidents which occurred in Bauchi State recently.

The Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Dr Maikanti Baru made the donation on Sunday when he led management of the Corporation on a sympathy visit to the state.

Speaking at the Palace of Emir of Bauchi, he described the disasters as an act of God while expressing concern over the extent of losses and damages recorded in the two incidences.

He commiserated with the Emir over the losses and condoled him over the demises of Katukan Bauchi, and Alhaji Ahmadu Yari.

In his remark, the Group Director, Corporate Services and Strategy, Alhaji Bala Wunti, disclosed that NNPC has concluded arrangements for the establishment of an LGP strategy to utilise Natural Resources as Sources of Energy.

Responding, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu commended the Corporation for the donation.

He called for collaboration with the NNPC and the Emirate for the speedy development of the state and the country in general. (DailyTrust)
