Alex Iwobi officially unveil new Super Eagles jersey in London
Super Eagles’ new Nike World Cup jerseys reportedly sold out within one hour of going on sale in London Friday morning.
According to Nigerian, who travelled to the British capital Thursday evening to watch Saturday’s top-flight clash between the Eagles and the Three Lions at Wembley, his efforts to snag the jersey has so far failed.
“I was at the Nike store early today (Friday) on Oxford Street (in London) to buy the jersey, but I was told the jersey sold out within one hour of going on sale today,” said the fan who pleaded anonymity.
The fan, who called New Telegraph via WhatsApp, said he was still hoping to see if he would be able to get the jersey before going into the stadium tomorrow.
“I’m hoping that some sharp guys who must have bought up the jerseys will be at the stadium tomorrow to re-sell them. I’m only hoping that they won’t overprice them,” he said.
New Telegraph learnt that the jersey is being sold for 65pounds at the Nike stores. (New Telegraph)
