Deputy Minority whip in the Senate, Senator Abu Ibrahim, has condemned in strong terms the recent brutal killings of communities in Faskari and Sabuwa Local Government Areas, Katsina State.
The Senator said he will use all the rights and privileges at his disposal as an elected senator from the zone to bring to an end the wave of sporadic killings, through collaboration with his colleagues from Kaduna, Niger, Kebbi and Zamfara states in all the states.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Senator, Alhaji Abdullahi Usman Tumburkai, said the Senator was in the area to condole the residents and the victims who suffered loss of lives and property.
He also pledged to present a motion at the senate for deliberation, with the aim of actualising a law that will bring to an end the rampant killings.
Senator Abu Ibrahim had during the condolence visit presented relief materials, such as bags of grains worth thousands of naira to refugees and affected families in Faskari. He also donated money to the injured admitted into the hospitals.
