The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, February 20, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are expected over the some northern cities with visibility range of 2-5km and localised of less than a 1,000m throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 37℃ and 15 – 22℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region in the morning hours with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Lafia, Makurdi Lokoja, Minna and Abuja in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 – 38℃ and 24 – 27℃ respectively, except over Jos where 30oC/17℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the region with chances of localised thunderstorms over some cities like Port Harcourt, Warri, Benin, Yenagoa and their environs in the morning hours. Later in the day, the region is expected to be cloudy with chances of localised thunderstorms over Owerri, Umuahia, Uyo, Ado-Ekiti and Akure. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 37℃ and 20 – 26℃ respectively.
