Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, July 31, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are anticipated over Nguru, Sokoto, Kano, Jigawa and Yelwa axis in the morning hours. Later in the day, cloudy conditions are expected to prevail with prospects of moderate thunderstorms over Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Nguru, Maiduguri and Kano. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 - 34℃and 20 - 24℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of thunderstorms over the region in the morning hours. Thunderstorms are not unlikely over Abuja, Makurdi, Minna, Mambila, Jos, Lafia and Jalingo in afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32℃and 21 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 27/17℃
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the inland cities, with rains anticipated over the coastal cities and thunderstorms over Enugu in the morning hours. As the day progresses, thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the Inland Cities while rains are expected over the coastal cities in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 - 33℃and 20 - 23℃respectively.
