Buhari’s man escapes death in mosque attack, to sue ex-governor

An ally of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), has vowed to sue an unnamed former governor of Kano State even as he continues to thank God for sparing his life after he was attacked inside the mosque yesterday during a Jumaat service.

Alhaji Abdulmajid Danbuiki Kwamada was the target of suspected thugs reportedly numbering in the hundreds, who invaded the mosque, made straight to where he was and mercilessly descended on him.

Speaking amidst tears after he was rescued by some worshippers and taken to the Chief Imam’s residence, Kwamada, an APC chieftain, told newsmen: “Thank God I was rescued. I suspected it was a former governor of Kano State who sent them after me, because they came inside the mosque in his convoy.

“I reported the matter to the police at Bompai and I will also take the ex-governor to court over my attack. I believe the attackers wanted to kill me. If you see how they tore my clothes into pieces.”
