The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Sunday, March 12, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Moderate dust haze conditions are expected to characterise the weather over this region in the next 24-hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 40°C and 15 – 20°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: The northern part of this region is expected to experience dust haze while the rest will be partly cloudy with prospects of thundery activities over Lafia and Abuja in the next 24-hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 39°C and 19 – 27°C respectively, except over Jos where 32°C and 15°C day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy morning is anticipated over the south-western region while the south eastern coast will experience localised thunderstorm. Later in the day, partly cloudy is expected to characterise the atmosphere over the inland cities except over Akure, Warri, Benin, Owerri and the coastal cities where isolated thunderstorms are expected. The Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 36°C and 21 – 25°C.
