APC chieftain mocks those who wished Buhari death

APC chieftain, Dr Nyerere Anyim

A chieftain of the All Progressives Alliance (APC) in Abia State, Dr. Nyerere Anyim, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s return to Nigeria in the early hours of Friday, after spending 50 days in London on medical vacation, has put his “death wishers and enemies of the nation to shame.”

In a telephone interview with our correspondent, Dr. Anyim posited that President Buhari’s return calls for celebration by every sane Nigerian and lovers of democracy.

The former Interim National Vice Chairman, South East, and governorship candidate of APC in Abia in the 2015 general election, decried the manner some Nigerians reacted to the President’s absence, adding that such does not portray a sane society.

He said: “The good thing about President Buhari’s absence and presence is that government is functioning effectively. We have an indefatigable Acting President that has continued to deliver good governance. But, our joy today is that President Buhari’s return has further rekindled hope for better Nigeria while putting his death wishers to shame.”

While urging Nigerians to support President Buhari’s efforts towards rebuilding the nation and rediscovering its economic fortunes, Dr. Anyim also applauded Acting President Osibanjo’s approach and maturity to governance in the absence of his boss.
