Dickson congratulates FCMB founder Subomi Balogun for clocking 83, hails Vice President Osinbajo at 60

Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has congratulated business mogul and founder of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Otunba Michael Olasubomi Balogun, for ‎clocking the age of 83.

While paying special tribute to the foremost banker and businessman, Dickson applauded his many years of ‎contribution to the development of the nation’s economy.

He remarked that the philanthropist and Olori Omo-Oba of Ijebuland is an inspiration to many because of his good deeds and appreciated God for sustaining him with strength and sound health.

The Governor, in a statement in Yenagoa, added that the octogenarian deserves to be celebrated for his vision over 30 years ago to set up a strong financial institution like the FCMB which has provided jobs for thousands of Nigerians and noted that it remains an enduring and worthy legacy.

Dickson wished the quintessential monarch a happy birthday and more years of ‎selfless service to his native Ijebu land and Nigeria.

In a related development, Dickson felicitated ‎ with Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as very industrious and God-fearing.

The governor in a message to the Vice President expressed gratitude to God for making him attain the age of 60 and prayed for more fruitful years ahead.

He said the humility of Osinbajo and his dedication to the service of the nation is very remarkable while also pointing out his very frugal nature which has made him maintain an impeccable integrity over the years.

Dickson recalled with profoundness ‎the recent visit of Osinbajo to Bayelsa State where he critically assessed the current situation on ground and his resolve to help change the narrative in the state and the Niger Delta region.

According to him the visit to Bayelsa and other states in the region has reawakening the hope of the people and emboldened their expectations for a better tomorrow.
