Dust haze
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Friday, March 10, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be sunny and hazy conditions during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 42°C and 19 – 24°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the northern half of the central cities while partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over Lokoja, Makurdi, and Lafia in the next 24hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 39 – 41°C and 25 – 28°C respectively except Jos with minimum and maximum of 17°C and 32°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the inland and cloudy conditions over the coastal cities with prospects of localised thunderstorms over places such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar, Warri, Abeokuta, Ibadan and Benin during the afternoon/evening hours.
Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 35 – 39°C and 23 – 27°C respectively.
