Prophet Francis Otukwu
The General Supervisor and Minister-in-Charge of ThankGod Awaited Liberation Ministry, Ikeja, Lagos, Prophet Francis Otukwu, has admonished Nigerians to keep hope alive despite the current grating and unpleasant socio-economic and political under-currents threatening the very existence of Nigeria, describing them as existential phases in the corporate and cultural development of the country, which she is destined to experience to emerge a stronger, freer, richer and more united nation.
He specifically decried issues such as depleting supply of essential commodities, unabating inflation, unprecedented rate of unemployment, human right abuses by security operatives, rampaging Fulani herdsmen, and the recurring ethno-religious killings in Southern Kaduna.
The cleric stated this during the ministry’s Ascension Day celebration, which he said was duly observed through prayers on Saturday February 25, in commemoration of the transition to glory of the Founder/Son of Man, ThankGod Chukwuma, after a celestial and delightfulWednesdayMid-week Service on February 2, 2009.
The officiating minster recalled that four days before that momentous event, the Founder had summoned a select number of workers for an all-night conclave during which he gave insight into the peculiar nature of his calling and mission; coming persecution of the ministry by individual and institutional enemies, as well as betrayals from among members. He added that the highlight of the gathering was a Special Supper of roast lamb, after which they all slept in the mission house.
He also recalled that despite that forewarning about the brevity of their Founder’s mission, they were ill-prepared for his sudden exit and the eventual fulfillment of some of the prophecies he uttered that night. He commended members who have stood firm and committed to the vision, despite the ensuing trials and tribulations, noting that this first observance of the Ascension Day was approved by heaven through revelations.
He charged: “The All-mighty Father who strengthened you while we waded through the storms and travails will bless your efforts and determination, as you ply your trades. You must succeed, despite the crippling impact of the recession.
“The country is endowed with enormous natural, mineral and human resources. Besides, Nigerians maybe politically manipulated, but they are hard-working and dynamic. They are also prayerful. Contrary to prevailing negative economic projections, God can still raise capable hands to navigate the economy and the nation to safe waters. Nigeria will rise again!”
The minister appealed to believers to brace up for trials and temptations, as their strict adherence to undiluted gospel of truth about the presence of the Messiah as well as light that attracts the presence and power of God in their midst makes them target of persecution, in a Christian nation where syncretism is the order of the day.
