Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday, March 9, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be under sunny and dry conditions in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 41°C and 12 – 22°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and Hazy conditions are anticipated over this region with partly cloudy conditions over Lokoja, Makurdi within the next 24hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 – 38°C and 22 – 28°C respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Port Harcourt, Calabar and Yenagoa during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over this region during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 39°C and 22 – 26°C respectively.
