The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, March 4, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Dry and Sunny conditions are anticipated over the northern cities during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 39 – 41°C and 16 – 25°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over Makurdi and Lafia axis with chances of dry and sunny conditions over most places during the morning hours. Later into the day, Ilorin, Jalingo, Ibi, Bida, Abuja, Minna, Makurdi, Lafia and lokoja axis are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 40°C and 16 – 25°C respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Morning cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region. Later in the day, there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the inland of the southwest and the entire coastal cities while cloudiness are expected over the inland of the southeast during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 35 – 39°C and 21 – 25°C respectively.
