Governor Amosun
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has commended the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), and all security agencies in the state for organising a walk against Kidnapping, Terrorism and Cultism.
Amosun, who addressed participants of the sensitisation walk, when they came to his Oke Mosan, Abeokuta office, yesterday, said: “Kidnapping is so alien to us in this part of the country.”
He also commended security agencies in the state for always working round the clock to nip crime in the bud.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers of the walk, CDHR Chairman in Ogun State, Comrade Yinka Folarin, commended the state government for its effort in fighting all forms of crimes in the state.
Folarin also expressed appreciation to the state Executive Council and the House of Assembly for recently passing laws stipulating stiff punishments for kidnappers and land grabbers in Ogun state.
