The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday, March 2, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be sunny and hazy conditions during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 40°C and 19 – 23°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the northern halve of the central cities while partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over Lokoja, Makurdi, Ilorin, Lafia and Abuja in the next 24hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 40°C and 22 – 27°C respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the inland and the coast cities with prospects of localised thundery showers over places such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar, Akure, Oshogbo, Ibadan and Ado Ekiti during the afternoon/evening hours.

Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 35 – 39°C and 24 – 26°C respectively.
