Keshi unveils starting 11 to crush Ethiopia . . . and pick Brazil 2014 World Cup ticket

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has gone for an all-out attacking formation against Ethiopia in this evening’s Brazil 2014 final qualifier at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar, South-South Nigeria.

Strikers Emmanuel Emenike and Brown Ideye will lead the attack with support from the wings from Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow and Victor Moses, who is on loan to Liverpool from Chelsea.

Both Musa and Moses will be expected to fall back into the midfield when the Eagles are defending. Only Mikel and Ogenyi Onazi in midfield.

Fit-again Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has reclaimed his first-team shirt ahead of Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe, who has deputised in his injury-caused absence.

Otherwise, coach Stephen Keshi has stuck to a familiar line-up to clinch him a ticket to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

For the first time in a long time, no player from the domestic league is on Keshi’s starting XI.

Eagles Starting XI:

•Vincent Enyeama •Elderson Echiejile •Efe Ambrose •Godfrey Oboabona •Kenneth Omeruo •Ogenyi Onazi •Mikel Obi •Ahmed Musa (shown in photo) •Victor Moses •Brown Ideye •Emmanuel Emenike.
