Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has charged members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State and other supporters of Senator Chris Ngige to remain focused and cast their votes without fear or favour in the November 16, 2013 governorship election in which Ngige is flying the party’s flag.
He, however, warned them to desist from election malpractices but to exercise their franchise and protect their votes.
Governor Okorocha gave the charge when Anambra APC Executives, LGA Coordinators and Ward Chairmen paid him homage at the Government House, Owerri.
He commended them for sacrificing their time and resources to sensitise the masses on the need to vote Senator Ngige as the right man for the right change needed in Anambra. He also encouraged them to remain committed until the election is concluded, adding that no labour put in will go unrewarded.
Okorocha assured them that APC has a solid structure which will bring the needed change in the leadership positions at both state and federal levels and salvage the Igbo race from sufferings just as his Rescue Mission in Imo is committed to.
In response, one of the coordinators, Hon. Clement Anozie, thanked Governor Okorocha for transforming Imo and said they were committed to voting Senator Ngige into power because of his similar interest to make Anambra a comfortable place for the masses.
