By BONIFACE AKARAH
The PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has created a new Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management and announced changes to the leadership of its Youth Mobilisation and Women Mobilisation directorates ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The decisions were announced in a statement signed by Hope Uzodimma, Secretary of the PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, following the inauguration of the council.
The statement said the new directorate and leadership adjustments were aimed at strengthening the council’s organisational structure, enhancing coordination and improving operational efficiency ahead of the election.
“The decision follows the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council and is aimed at strengthening the Council’s organisational structure, enhancing coordination and improving operational efficiency ahead of the 2027 presidential election,” the statement said.
Under the new arrangement, Dr Farouk Adamu Aliyu has been appointed Director of the Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management, with Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello serving as Co-Director.
For the Directorate of Youth Mobilisation, Ayo Olawande will serve as Director, while Dr Dayo Israel has been appointed Deputy Director.
The council also appointed Dr Mary Aille Idele as Director of the Directorate of Women Mobilisation, with Dr Betta Edu as Deputy Director and Hon. Imaan Suleman as Secretary.
Explaining the rationale behind the changes, the council said the adjustments were intended to improve its ability to mobilise supporters, particularly young people and women, for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“The adjustments reflect the Council’s commitment to building a well-coordinated, inclusive and results-driven campaign structure capable of effectively mobilising Nigerians, particularly young people and women, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid,” the statement added.
The council said the appointees were expected to bring their experience and organisational capabilities to bear on their respective responsibilities as preparations for the election intensified.
“The Campaign Council expects the appointees to bring their experience, commitment and organisational capabilities to bear on their respective responsibilities as preparations intensify for the 2027 presidential election,” it stated.
It further urged the appointees to work closely with other directorates and campaign structures to ensure effective implementation of the council’s mobilisation plans.
“All appointees are expected to work collaboratively with other directorates and relevant campaign structures to advance the Council’s objectives and ensure effective implementation of its mobilisation and campaign strategies,” the statement said.
The appointments form part of the council’s efforts to organise its campaign structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
