The Anambra State Government has invited Christians resident in the state to embark on a spiritual journey to the Holy Lands of Israel and Jordan as part of the 2026 Christian Pilgrimage.

The commencement of registration for the pilgrimage was announced by the state Christian Pilgrims Affairs office.

According to him, the pilgrimage is scheduled to take place between November and December 2026.

The announcement was signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Pilgrims, Hon. Barr. Odira Ezeh, Office of the Deputy Governor, and the Secretary, Christian Pilgrims, Akorah Felicia Uzoma.

The announcement read in part, “The programme is designed to provide intending pilgrims with an opportunity for prayer, spiritual renewal, fellowship and deeper reflection at some of the sites associated with the Christian faith.

“The invitation, in effect, echoes Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s message to Ndi Anambra: “Come, let us journey together in faith.

“The pilgrimage is open only to applicants who are 30 years and above.”

The state government further urged interested Christians to obtain their registration forms and complete the process ahead of the pilgrimage.

He explained that Registration and further enquiries are being handled at the Anambra State Christian Pilgrims Office, behind the Old Government House, opposite Ndiolu Microfinance Bank, Awka.

The officials also encouraged Christians who meet the age requirement and wish to participate to take advantage of the pilgrimage, describing the journey as sacred journey of faith.
