Gov Mbah

Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State has directed the immediate activation of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Office for the National Sports Festival (NSF), tagged CoalCity 2026 Games.
The governor also ordered the commencement of media publicity, marketing strategies, sensitisation, and nationwide mobilisation for the successful hosting of the festival.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Dan Onwuegbuna, Media Assistant to the Commissioner for Sports, Lloyd Ekweremadu on Friday in Enugu.
He said Mbah gave the directive during a working visit by the Advisory Team of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the festival to the government house, Enugu.
Mbah assured the committee and the people of state that the festival will not suffer postponements.
The advisory team, led by the Consultant to the MOC, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, was on a working visit to provide the governor with a comprehensive briefing on the state of preparations for the games.
The team also brought to the governor’s attention critical areas requiring his interventions to ensure the successful hosting of the festival as scheduled.
Members of the team included the consultant to the MOC, Dr. Kweku Tandoh; Dr Emmanuel Igbinosa, Mr Sunday Odebode and Mr Idowu Oladipopo.
Also in attendance was the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Lloyd Ekweremadu and Mr Bamiduro Olumide, the Assistant Secretary of MOC and Secretary of LOC. (NAN)
