PDP Factional National Chairman, Alhaji Turaki
Factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Kabiru Turaki (SAN), has been flown abroad for medical attention.
A source close to the former Minister of Special Duties told News Express that he developed a medical challenge and had to be taken abroad after receiving initial treatment in Abuja.
“He was flown to Turkey and admitted at a Turkish hospital for further medical attention,” the source disclosed.
He, however, added that reports from Turkey indicate that Turaki is responding well to treatment “and is not in danger at all.”
Asked what was ailing Turaki, the source said he was not sure, adding: “I know he has been under tremendous stress due to the crisis which the Federal Government under the watch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) engineered in PDP, culminating in the takeover of the former ruling party by faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike.”
