Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced restrictions on transactions involving several crypto-asset service providers operating in Nigeria, Iran, Europe and other jurisdictions, citing regulatory compliance requirements.
In a notice to users, the exchange said the restrictions would take effect in phases, with affected entities listed alongside the dates from which transactions involving them would no longer be processed.
Binance said Shelbit General Trading LLC, which operates in the United Arab Emirates and Iran, and Aban Tether Exchange, based in Iran, became subject to the restrictions from August 7.
The measures were extended from August 13 to A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa and PilotFinance Ltd. A7 Nigeria operates in Nigeria, while A7 Africa has operations in Nigeria and Zimbabwe. PilotFinance Ltd is also based in Nigeria.
From August 23, Binance said restrictions would apply to Rapira and Aifory Pro (Sooty Ltd.), both operating in Georgia; ABCeX (Nueva Cryptologia S.A.S DE C.V.), linked to El Salvador and Georgia;
WhiteBird and Tradex (Brightum LLC), based in Belarus; and NoOnecrypto INC., which operates internationally.
Other entities affected include Monease Ltd, based in the United Kingdom; BitPapa, operating in the UAE; Exnode and Exnode Pay (Arvix), based in Georgia; HTX (Huobi Global SA), founded in China; and EXMO Ltd, which operates in the UK and Europe. (Nigerian Tribune)
