Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy, has revealed that he shares a private group chat with Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. and NBA star Jalen Brown.
Burna Boy made the revelation while discussing his meeting with Vinicius Jr., saying their shared association with the number seven led to the formation of what he described as their “7 team”.
Asking of the time when the musician meet with Vinicius Jr and the real Madrid team during a promo for SpotyBet and how it made sense.
“Man, we have a 7 team, you know,” Burna Boy said.
Asked who else was in the group, the singer said, “It’s me, Vinny, and I don’t know if you know Jalen Brown. Yeah, yeah, that’s it. NBA player. Yeah, that’s our 7 group chat. That’s crazy.”
Burna Boy said the three stars discuss several issues in the private chat, revealing that their most recent conversation focused on bringing them to Nigeria.
“It’s a lot of things, man. Like, the last conversation we had is bringing all of them to Nigeria,” he said.
During the conversation, Burna Boy also confirmed that Vinicius was in Jamaica, after the interviewer noted that the Real Madrid forward had been spotted there.
“Yeah, no, he’s on vacation,” Burna Boy said.
The singer, however, clarified that the proposed visit to Nigeria would not be for leisure, explaining that the planned trip would be work-related.
“So this one’s for work. Good to go to Nigeria. Yeah, this one’s for work,” he said.
Burna Boy also turned attention to the potential for Africa to produce world-class footballers, stressing the importance of developing young talent through academies.
The revelation adds another unusual connection between the Nigerian music star, one of football’s biggest young names and a leading NBA player, with Burna Boy indicating that their conversations could soon translate into a visit to Nigeria for a work-related project. (The Sun)
