National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, has hosted the party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and state chairmen from the North-West Zone at a strategic meeting ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Dickson disclosed this in a Facebook post on Saturday, saying the meeting focused on preparations for the party’s campaigns and strategies to secure victory for its candidates.

He described the North-West as a critical region in Nigeria’s political landscape and said the discussions with the state chairmen were aimed at strengthening the party’s preparations in the zone.

“It was a pleasure to host a strategic meeting of the National Leadership of our party with the State Chairmen of the North-West Zone, a very critical region in the politics of our country, as we reviewed preparations for the campaigns that will secure victory for all our candidates in the forthcoming elections,” Dickson said.

The former Bayelsa State governor commended the NDC leadership in the North-West, led by Kwankwaso, for what he described as their commitment and readiness to work towards the success of the party.

He said the meeting was fruitful and expressed confidence that the party could achieve victory in the forthcoming elections.

Dickson also urged NDC members, supporters and stakeholders to work collectively in the interest of the party and mobilise support for its candidates.

He said the party’s success would depend on unity and coordinated efforts among its leaders and members across the country.

The meeting comes as political parties intensify preparations and mobilisation activities ahead of the forthcoming elections, with the North-West expected to play a significant role in determining electoral outcomes. (Tribune)
