The Federal Government has clarified that applicants participating in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment medical screening exercise are not required to wear any specific dress code.
The clarification was contained in a public notice issued on Friday by the Board’s Head of Press, Mrs Okeh Juliet, ahead of the commencement of the screening exercise.
The Board stated that the medical screening for candidates seeking employment into the Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps will begin on June 22, 2026.
It advised applicants to appear in decent and appropriate clothing, stressing that no approved dress code exists for the exercise.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to state categorically that there is no prescribed dress code for applicants participating in the medical screening exercise for the 2025 Recruitment Exercise into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),” the notice stated.
The Board further instructed candidates not to bring their credentials to the screening centres, noting that the exercise would not involve document verification.
“Applicants are advised to appear for the exercise in their normal and decent attire. They are also advised not to come with their credentials, as no document verification will be conducted during the medical screening exercise,” it said.
The CDCFIB cautioned applicants against relying on messages or directives asking them to wear a particular outfit or present credentials during the screening.
It urged candidates to obtain information only from its official communication channels and wished them success in the exercise.
The medical screening is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 22, 2026, after a verification window between June 15 and June 20, during which shortlisted applicants are expected to confirm their status and choose preferred screening dates and venues through the recruitment portal.
