A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Nixon Okwara, has commended the senator representing Imo West in the Senate, Osita Izunaso on his three years in office.

In a statement he issued to commemorate the third year anniversary of the 10th Senate,Okwara described Izunaso as one of the brightest stars of the current senate.

According to him, Senator Izunaso stands tall as a rare blend of intellectual depth, legislative excellence, political sagacity, and uncommon humility.

He said that throughout the senator’s public life, he has consistently demonstrated that leadership is not merely about occupying office but about touching lives, building people, and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

The statement reads partly: “Today, I join countless sons and daughters of Orlu Zone in celebrating an exceptional leader, a distinguished statesman, and one of the brightest stars of the 10th Senate, Distinguished Senator Dr. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso as he marks three impactful years representing Imo West Senatorial District (Orlu Zone) in the National Assembly.

“As one who has closely observed and admired your journey, I remain profoundly inspired by your capacity to combine scholarship with practical politics, vision with action, and influence with service. Your contributions in the Senate have reinforced your reputation as one of the most effective voices in national discourse and one of the most strategic minds in contemporary Nigerian politics.”

Okwara stated that for them in Orlu Zone, Senator Izunaso’s representation has gone beyond legislation.

He stated Izunaso has become a symbol of hope, accessibility, mentorship, and purposeful leadership. According to him, the numerous lives Izunaso has impacted through his guidance, encouragement, and support constitute a legacy worthy of scholarly study, adding that his mentorship model offers valuable lessons in leadership development, political inclusion, and human capital investment.

Furthermore, he said that Izunaso’s journey reminds other lawmakers that true leadership is measured not only by personal accomplishments but by the number of people empowered to dream bigger, aspire higher, and achieve more.

According to Okwara, through Izunaso’s generosity of spirit and commitment to service, he has raised leaders, strengthened institutions, and inspired a new generation of public servants.

He added that “what is coming next for Izunaso would not be silent but rather it would be loud, resounding, and impossible to ignore.”
