The Presidency on Thursday disowned the purported appointment of one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi under the auspices of an organisation known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, declaring that no such body exists under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, issued the disclaimer in a statement released on Thursday, warning the public against claims by Adeyemi that he had been appointed by the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Gbajabiamila said the attention of the Federal Government and his office had been drawn to activities of the individual, who has allegedly been presenting himself to members of the public as having received an official appointment from the Presidency through the purported council.
The Chief of Staff categorically stated that the organisation has no affiliation with the Federal Government and does not exist under the current administration.
“The unsuspecting public is hereby advised to note that such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard,” the statement said.
He urged members of the public to disregard any representation linking the Presidency to the alleged council or its activities.
Gbajabiamila also called the attention of foreign and diplomatic missions, financial and multilateral institutions, development organisations, security agencies and other stakeholders to the disclaimer, advising them to take note of the contents of the notice.
The Presidency reiterated that no appointment had been made in connection with the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. (The Nation News)
