•Says party will secure victory in Anambra

Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Caucus in the House of Representatives, Afam Victor Ogene, over the weekend emerged a consensus candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election in Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Anambra State.

The decision was reached at the party’s National Assembly primary election held in Atani, headquarters of Ogbaru LGA, over the weekend

Speaking after the exercise, Ogene, who is seeking re-election to represent the area thanked party supporters for choosing him, saying that he was chosen based on his quality representation, integrity in service, and servant-leadership that have endeared him to his constituents.

While urging them to begin door-to-door sensitization and mobilization of voters in their respective neighborhoods across Ogbaru Federal Constituency ahead of next year’s House of Representatives election, the lawmaker added,

“This will help the NDC secure a comprehensive victory in the 2027 general elections — including the presidential, senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assembly elections.

“I appreciate your love and the confidence reposed me. I assure all my supporters that I will not let them down. I remain committed to prioritizing the interests of the Ogbaru people.”
